About this Conversation:
Once again, an incredible story coming your way through our SMART Conversation series where we go straight to the office or studio of a fascinating business owner and ask all the right questions about how they do it! These intimate, educational evenings give entrepreneurs the opportunity to share their successes and failures, in the comfort of their own space. We become the direct beneficiaries of their wisdom and experience, and in turn, have opportunities to share insights with one another.

West siders and South Bayer's, this one's easiest for you. But to all, here's what we recommend (it's the concierge in me.)

Drive to Gardena early and eat your HEART out at my fave restaurant there, Eatalian. Devour homemade pasta, paper thin pizza, mind-altering Tiramisu...in an unexpectadly gorgeous converted warehouse. Then, make your way over to Trash For Teaching by 6:30pm where we'll interview founders Steve and Kathy Stanton on their transformative business that started with manufacturing See's heart-shaped candy boxes, recycling castoff's for creative projects, and then sourcing other "trash" to be used for innovative school supplies.

About SMART Conversations:
Get out of your home office and into someone else's workspace. From creative agencies to retail stores to well-being epicenters to tea salons, SMART Conversations are a Members-only series that takes business owners into a selected "workspace" for drinks, treats and 20 minutes of Q and A with the business owner. It's nice to hear what other entrepreneurs do all day, and also see it in action. These intimate get-togethers make getting to know other SMARTYs easy, casual and low-key. Come through, grab a glass, hear an interesting story and be off to your next engagement (or home to bed!). Quick, social, engaging and a little voyeristic, SMART Conversations gives you a peek behind the curtain of how someone runs their show. You must be a Big SMARTY to attend this series.
